After reconvening at 5:14 p.m., Taxoni reported to the assembled board that "There was no action taken" during the closed session. The board had earlier announced the specific topics eligible for private discussion, saying they would include conference with labor negotiators, matters related to public employees’ discipline or release, consultation with legal counsel and student issues.
The motion to adjourn to closed session was made and seconded on the record; the chair called for the question and voices of support were recorded before the board left for closed session. The board then reconvened and proceeded with the remainder of the brief special meeting.
