Board takes first read on district and school safety plans covering incident command and reunification

The Acton-Agua Dulce Unified Board reviewed first readings of the comprehensive district safety plan and companion site-level plans for Vasquez High School, High Desert and Meadowlark.
Superintendent Sahakian told trustees the plans outline policies and action steps for child-abuse reporting, discipline procedures and emergency preparedness, including incident command and reunification. "The comprehensive safety plan covers policies, activities and action items as far as protocol for child abuse reporting, our discipline procedures. It also covers emergency preparedness and our response," he said.
Board members confirmed the plans had been posted for public review and noted a second read would occur on Feb. 26, after which the board will consider formal adoption. No substantive amendments were proposed during the first reading at this meeting.
