Board approves tentative agreements and personnel items; HR director outlines salary and leave changes

HR Director Miss Erdrick summarized the tentative agreement and sunshining for reopener negotiations. "We did the 3% on schedule, 3% off schedule, and we added 2 discretionary holidays... we added 1000 dollar, district contribution towards benefits," she said, detailing salary and benefits changes under the tentative agreement with CSEA chapter 473.
Erdrick also described added bereavement leave to include pregnancy loss and a new article establishing procedures for acquiring extra security staff for events when campus security cannot cover duties. Board members voted to approve the tentative agreement items and the related personnel actions; no contentious debate was recorded.
