City Clerk Melissa Burton reported the calculation and effective date for the 2026 cost-of-living adjustment for the Non-Uniform pension plan.
"COLA will be 1.42%. Total monthly increase is $1,199.23, for an annual increase of $14,390.75," Burton said. She explained the municipal code requires eligible retirees to receive 60% of the change in the St. Louis Metropolitan CPI (2.36%) and confirmed the COLA will be applied June 1, 2026.
Trustees did not record a separate vote on the COLA in the minutes; the change follows Municipal Code Section 125.200 and was announced as staff direction to implement the adjustment.
