Box Elder RDA renews business‑expansion contract with Chamber of Commerce

At its RDA meeting the Box Elder County Redevelopment Agency approved renewal of RDA contract No. 2501 with the Box Elder Chamber of Commerce to continue the chamber’s business expansion and retention services.
Monica, representing the Box Elder Chamber of Commerce, described the contract’s work: “conducting the business visits, planning the business summit, doing the career fairs at both high schools, and helping … and being on call for, like, tours.” The Clerk recorded a motion by Commissioner Perry with a second by Commissioner Vincent; the motion carried by voice vote.
The chamber will continue to operate a county economic dashboard. Monica said, “we're gonna get it's about 6,500 a year to have the dashboard on, and we're gonna be receiving 6,000 from the county.” She added the county logo will appear on the dashboard and link to the county website to signal county support.
Officials discussed signature logistics and the title to appear on the contract. The Clerk and commissioners confirmed the contract should be signed by the RDA chair; Monica offered to sign while present and to provide an official copy to county staff.
The renewal preserves the Chamber’s role as a county liaison for industry tours and workforce outreach; county staff noted the contract terms and funding sources during the presentation. The item carried with the recorded motion and voice vote.
