Board approves LCPC equivalency for AL, ID, KY and WA
Summary
The board voted unanimously to consider licensure requirements from Alabama, Idaho, Kentucky and Washington equivalent to Maine LCPC requirements during an equivalency review.
The Counseling Professionals, Board of Licensure reviewed laws and rules for Alabama, Idaho, Kentucky and Washington and approved motions to consider each state's requirements equivalent to Maine's LCPC requirements.
Motions and seconds were recorded for each state: AL (moved by Ellen Grunblatt; seconded by Carolyn Silsby), ID (moved by Joanne Grant; seconded by Lisa-Ann Henry), KY (moved by Lisa-Ann Henry; seconded by Angela Blier), and WA (moved by Ellen Grunblatt; seconded by Carolyn Silsby). The minutes record each motion passing with six votes in favor.
