Right at Home Rockwell honored with Rowlett 2025 Senior Friendly Business award

Rowlett City Council presented the 2025 Senior Friendly Business Award to Right at Home Rockwell during the Nov. 18 meeting, recognizing the in-home care agency for its work supporting older residents.
Derek Bridal and city staff introduced the award and invited Kendra McMurray of Right at Home to accept the plaque. McMurray thanked the senior advisory board and the city for the recognition, saying, “We’re so grateful to be able to serve in this community… Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve.” The award citation noted the business’s ongoing commitment to seniors through resources, discounts and programming support.
The presentation came during the council’s opening items of business; staff said the senior advisory board selects the winner through a subcommittee and full-board vote. City officials said the award is intended to highlight local businesses that provide consistent, demonstrable support for Rowlett’s older residents.
The council did not take action related to the award beyond the recognition. Right at Home Rockwell said it will continue partnering with the city’s senior programs and community center events.
