Plano ISD reports Year 1 wins and Year 2 student-centered rollout for Code of Civility

Jennifer Miley described Year 2 as a shift from adult-led awareness to student-shaped culture: monthly awareness campaigns, student-created videos, a parent-university resource and simplified reporting and grievance pathways. Ivan Cantu summarized the program’s purpose: "To create a standard for how we interact across the entire district built on 4 core principles, trustworthiness, care, responsibility, and respect." Trustees praised the intentionality and asked for continued feedback metrics and reports on staff and student outcomes.
