Panel approves bill to bar MCO contract terms that allow nursing‑home terminations without cause

Representative Williams presented HB 2093, stating the bill would prohibit MCOs from including contract language that allows termination of nursing homes without cause and would require TennCare to review and approve contracts to ensure such provisions are not included. "It will require TennCare to review and approve all contracts to ensure so no such provisions were inadvertently included," he said.
Committee members had no questions and the subcommittee voted 7–0 to advance HB 2093 to full Health.
