City Hall to close Aug. 12–13 for system migration; council to consider tax-deadline extension

City administration announced that City Hall will be closed on August 12–13 for a BSNA cloud migration that will suspend the regular online payment system; staff warned that payments may need to be processed manually and that the closure could affect taxpayers. The administration told council that BSNA Cloud is expected to resume operations on Aug. 17, with City Hall reopening that morning.
Because the tax deadline currently falls on Aug. 17, the administration said it will present a council resolution on Aug. 11 seeking an extension of the deadline to Aug. 27 to avoid disadvantaging taxpayers during the system migration. The announcement also noted similar temporary closures in neighboring municipalities during system conversions and asked council to expect a formal resolution at the next meeting.
