Committee explores program navigation tools and feasibility of AI guidance for applicants

A staff member identified as Carmen said, "the Agency publishes a Programs-at-a-Glance guide each year – print and digital – which summarizes every opportunity, identifies whether each program serves organizations or individuals, and links directly to each program's webpage." The guide is distributed at events and made available digitally.
On the question of an AI chatbot, Jen Lawless said the Agency has experimented with eligibility quizzes and that sister agencies are testing chatbots, but she cautioned such tools need significant staff oversight because interactions typically require review. Committee members agreed that council referrals and improved digital tools together could make navigating programs more accessible for prospective applicants.
