Councilwoman Bridal moved the listing approvals and proposed the price amendment; Councilman Constant seconded. Council members discussed mechanisms to favor owner-occupants in the early listing period — a staged preference giving first responders, veterans, teachers and first-time homebuyers priority in the first 10–20 days — and asked administration to preserve deed restrictions to require eventual owner-occupancy where appropriate. The listing process will place city-owned properties on the MLS and Zillow through the listing agent, and the administration said a tab on the city website will link directly to the city properties for public access.
Council asked staff to share a master spreadsheet of property photos and links with members and to provide higher-resolution photo sets in a single file for easier review. The motion to approve the exclusive listings and the amended Cornell price passed unanimously.
