The subcommittee discussed the practical implications for head coaches and other coaching positions, with staff confirming the updates apply to both head coaches and all other coaches.
The presentation emphasized that the proposed language is intended to make the district’s expectations explicit and reduce legal risk by ensuring required certifications and trainings are completed and tracked before a coach oversees a team. No formal motion or vote took place during the subcommittee meeting; staff indicated the items may return to a future meeting and noted the next full board meeting is scheduled for June 22.
