County approves switch to 1st Due reporting software for Fire & EMS with IT sign-off

Box Elder County Fire Marshal Kevin Lloyd asked the commission to approve replacing ImageTrend with 1st Due for fire inspections, inventory and reporting. "I currently with ImageTrend, I'm paying about $2,300 a year for ImageTrend... If I go to 1st due, the first year is $6,800, and then it drops down to $4,900 a year after that," Lloyd said, describing the cost differences and the customization limits Lloyd had encountered with ImageTrend.
Commissioners debated IT oversight and were asked to ensure the county IT director reviews the implementation; Hadfield and others noted the office had reviewed the contract. Commissioner Perry moved to approve the 1st Due reporting software contract (25-72) for Fire and EMS with the condition that IT Director Keith Keller sign off; Commissioner Vincent seconded. The commission voted 'Aye' and the motion carried.
