Plano ISD board denies level‑4 appeal and approves consent agenda; several policy adoptions pass unanimously
Summary
At its May 19 meeting the board denied a level‑4 appeal filed by Kyle Vena and approved the consent agenda unanimously. Trustees also adopted several local policies (BBG, BDAA, FM) unanimously and recorded a 6–1 vote on EIF (graduation) as described elsewhere.
During general business the board considered a level‑4 appeal filed by Kyle Vena pursuant to board policy F and G (local). A trustee motion to deny the appeal was made and seconded; the chair recorded the motion and the board voted unanimously to deny the appeal.
Following closed session the board approved the consent agenda by a unanimous voice/hand vote. Trustee motions to adopt local policy BBG (board compensation), BDAA (officers and duties) and FM (student activities) passed unanimously; EIF (graduation) passed 6–1 as recorded elsewhere in the meeting.
