Plano ISD board approves interdistrict transfer policy (FDA Local) and accepts TASB update 127 for review

At the June 23 work session the board considered and acted on policy items. Deputy Superintendent Celinda Freeman explained revisions to policy FDA local to allow a longer transfer window for interdistrict transfers; the board approved adoption under second reading by unanimous vote.
The board also considered TASB localized policy manual update 127, a set of legal and administrative code changes tied to the most recent legislative session. Freeman said the update has been reviewed by district staff and legal counsel; trustees approved the TASB 127 update on first reading and will continue to refine local policy language as needed before final action.
Both items passed without dissent; the board noted the TASB changes were relatively minor in this round and requested continued review by the policy subcommittee before final adoption where applicable.
