Manager Mary told the board four bids were opened July 15 and recommended the lowest bidder, Boulder Excavation LLC, for the Barrows Road culvert replacement, a FEMA project that stemmed from the 2023 flood.
"Specific that we're gonna award the Barrows Road culvert replacement contract to Boulder Excavation LLC in an amount not to exceed $209,837.55," Mary said. The manager explained she had conferred with the engineering group and expected the majority of the work to be reimbursed by FEMA, though some town work had already been performed to correct previous incomplete repairs. The board moved, seconded and voted in favor; the chair authorized the manager to execute the contract.
The project was discussed in the context of ongoing flood-recovery work and town capital budgeting. The manager said she would report back as the reimbursement details are finalized.
