After debate, Titusville council sets tentative operating millage at 6.2 mills

Finance director Tom told council the rollback rate is about 6.0812 mills and the maximum under the 10% rule is 6.4849; raising to 6.3 would yield about $389,202 of additional revenue.
Council also instructed staff to set two public hearings on the budget: Sept. 9 and Sept. 21, both at 5:30 p.m. Several councilmembers asked for clearer, user‑friendly budget information on the city website and an unfunded priorities list with cost estimates to help residents understand tradeoffs.
