Member Robert Bondi presented and the board approved a pay request from MSI for Performance Contract Application #9 in the amount of $503,583.75. Bondi said the overall performance contract is $7,659,903.59, retainage to date is $304,010.94 and the contract's remaining balance is $1,883,695.67.
The board approved separate bids to purchase a dual-lift platform mat and electric height-adjustable parallel bars for the nursing home's therapy department. Nursing Home Administrator Jodi Mines described the dual-lift as "wide enough for repositioning in bed" and said it automates repositioning that the current equipment requires to be cranked manually. Both equipment purchases were approved unanimously.
Member Samuel Cohen noted the remaining balance and expressed interest in moving forward with the project if further evaluations prove the project feasible. Member Pamela Davidson voted against the MSI pay request and against other project invoices citing a desire to pause until broader county building plans are resolved.
