Chairman Witte proposed establishing an Ad Hoc Compliance and Information Technology Committee and the board approved the motion with a termination date of Dec. 31, 2025. Witte outlined duties including creating manuals for new county board members, elected officials and employees and overseeing county technology infrastructure, and emphasized that "this committee would have no authority to spend money and any action would go to the full board for approval."
Witte said he appointed Ryan as chair, Myers as vice chair, and selected Witte and Dee Dee Rentmeister as the two other committee members; he explained the membership was chosen to avoid having members on the same committee together, which would risk violating the Open Meetings Act.
