Plain City council approves development plan, budget ordinance and multiple resolutions (March 24, 2025)

The Plain City council recorded several formal actions on March 24, 2025. The council voted 6–0 to advance UD‑25‑1 (preliminary development plan for Noah Beachy Farms) to second reading. Council then completed second reading and adopted Ordinance 10‑25 concerning an update to the village 2025 budget and passed Resolutions 18‑25 (amending the wage scale for Plain City Police Department employees), 19‑25 (authorizing sale of municipally owned personal property), 20‑25 (authorizing sale of village property) and 21‑25 (describing services Plain City will provide to the proposed annexation of roughly 70.5 acres in Darby Township, Madison County).
Later in the meeting the council read ordinance 11‑2025 to extend the moratorium on processing and issuance of mobile vendor licenses, waived the second reading and declared an emergency so the extension took effect immediately. Vote calls for the recorded items listed above show unanimous 6–0 votes. Individual members answering at roll call included Miss Ferguson, Mister Lewis, Mister Harris, Mister Simmons, Mister Herman and Mister Terry.
