Representative Clemens asked whether the sponsor would commit not to amend HB1528 further in committee before it reached the House floor. Clemens asked, “would you commit, not to amend this legislation further from this point forward until it gets to the house floor if it gets that far?”
Representative Bozzo replied that he would not amend it further in the committee and said he brought the bill out of his experience as a legislator and attorney. He cited recent decisions, including “a decision by Judge Usman for the bridal section Court of Appeals” on Jan. 21, as part of the context that prompted him to propose the change.
