Henry County Board makes appointments, removes member from emergency board and holds one airport appointment

Chairman Kippy Breeden announced a set of chair appointments and removals at the Jan. 22 meeting. The board removed Dale Stiles from the Emergency Telephone System Board and appointed Member Bob Wachtel to that board. The chair also named Jan May as chair of the Health and Social Services Committee and appointed Shannon Bumann to that committee.
One appointment was held over: the minutes show the appointment of Jason Bates to the Kewanee Airport Authority for a term from Jan. 22, 2026 through April 30, 2027 was introduced but held over rather than confirmed. Member Bob Wachtel seconded chair appointments recorded in the minutes; no contested roll-call tallies were recorded for the chair appointments in the text of the minutes.
