The Gilmer City Council unanimously approved $21,535.65 in change orders for Yamboree Park Phase I and, after discussing additional asphalt work in executive session, accepted a negotiated 40% credit off the project bid amount for the asphalt scope.
Councilmember Brian Williams moved to approve the change orders in open session, which passed 6-0, and the council later reconvened from executive session to accept the reduced-rate credit on the asphalt work on motion by Councilmember Carl Byers and second by Councilmember Brian Williams. The action was recorded as a 6-0 vote. The agenda packet listed the change orders amount as $21,535.65; the council did not record additional dollar figures for the final net contract after the 40% credit during the open meeting.
