Bond County approves bridge engineering agreement, culvert project and $1,000 credit card for Highway Engineer

Highway Engineer Mike McCormick presented his June report and an engineering agreement for Central Township to design work on the Cottonwood Avenue Bridge; the Board approved Resolution 07-01-25-02 authorizing that agreement (motion Jeff Rehkemper; second Wes Pourchot). The Board also approved County Aid project 0-703-25, a culvert project on Sorento Avenue; the vote recorded 3 ayes, 0 nays and one abstention from Bernard Myers.
McCormick asked that the Highway Department be permitted to carry a credit card for necessary purchases; the Board approved a $1,000.00 limit credit card to be held by the Highway Engineer only (motion Jeff Rehkemper; second Wes Pourchot). McCormick also raised the possibility of adding a vehicle to the highway fleet and was asked to notify the Board if a purchase opportunity arises so the Board could call a special meeting if required.
