Resident alleges overspending and record-keeping problems at Bond County Health Department

Ron Deedrick, a resident who spoke during public comment at the Bond County Board’s July 1 meeting, raised multiple concerns about the Bond County Health Department and its administration. He told the board he “feels there is over spending on accounts that are the responsibility of the Health Administrator” and said the Health Department Board “fails to post the minutes from their committee meetings,” adding that Health Administrator Sean Eifert “has failed to file a Statement of Economic Interest until 2025.”
Board member Jeff Rehkemper said he attended a Health Board meeting the night before where the Health Board Administrator addressed some of Deedrick’s concerns. Rehkemper asked Deedrick to provide a printout of his findings so the County Board could review them formally; Deedrick agreed. The transcript records no formal inquiry or vote arising from the comment; the matter was left for follow-up and possible investigation.
