Bond County's Board approved three zoning amendments on June 17 that update how the county will regulate energy systems and initial siting permits. Resolution 06-17-25-02 (Battery Energy Storage Systems), Resolution 06-17-25-03 (Solar/Wind Energy Systems) and Resolution 06-17-25-04 (Initial Certificates of Zoning Compliance) were each approved by a 5–0 Roll Call vote.
The unanimous votes formalize new local requirements and siting-permit procedures for energy installations and are recorded as part of the county's zoning ordinance revisions. The measures passed without recorded dissent and will be incorporated into the county's permitting process.
