Residents press county on property-tax timing, KCAP reports $10M in D.C. requests and resident details dog attacks

Public comment at the April 29 meeting featured three distinct appeals. Springer also invited board members and the public to KCAP's CEO Programs Trade Show on May 4 at the Watson-Thomas Legacy Center.
Resident Connie Main described repeated dog-at-large incidents in Altona, claimed inconsistent animal-control enforcement, and said owners’ information was redacted in her FOIA responses; she also said a sergeant "scolded" her after a non-emergency 911 report about a scratched car. Main asked the board to follow up on why owners appear to evade accountability and why FOIA responses omit identifying details.
The board acknowledged the comments and did not take immediate action; members and staff were asked to follow up where appropriate.
