Councilmembers discussed park amenities as part of the capital outlay conversation at the July 21 special meeting. Members were told the park has capacity for approximately ten additional concrete pads where benches could be installed, a planning detail that prompted consideration of adding a trail extension to the capital outlay plan.
Councilmembers also heard about a potential grant opportunity that could help fund benches and tree plantings in the park. No formal motion or funding commitment was made at the meeting; councilmembers instead identified the items for further review during the next budget workshop on Aug. 11, 2026.
