Public commenter criticizes past vaccine encouragement, questions county tech spending

Jim Dillard used his allotted public comment time to criticize the county’s prior encouragement of COVID vaccination and to question recent technology contracts. “a protocol that killed some of them, make some others sick, and I was hoping you had learned from that experience to, be that voluntary to the individual,” he said, urging the county to treat vaccination as voluntary.
Dillard also questioned recent information-technology spending and a subscription with ThreatLocker, calling line-item costs excessive and the services unclear. “Free Data Solutions…they charge us a 120,000 almost every week,” he said, arguing the county was “just throwing money at it” without understanding technology. No commissioner took action during public comment; the items Dillard referenced were considered later on the agenda.
