Resident says 2019 denial should guide enforcement at 76 Happy Acres Road

"My name is Joshua Sims. I have good news regarding the issue of the record service at 76 Happy Acres Road, which appears to have been in violation of chapter 114 since 2020," Sims said, noting he found the Oct. 21, 2019 meeting record showing a prior denial and that Chairman Ensley, Vice Chairman Rogers and Commissioner Long unanimously denied a similar request on that date. Sims told the board he raised the matter with county staff in August and September 2024 and asked staff to meet with him to explain ordinance interpretations.
Chair told Sims staff would reach out to discuss the junkyard ordinance and encouraged him to contact them this week for follow-up.
