Planning director reports pending CUPs, subdivision activity and a 64-acre wetland mitigation project

Planning Director Stephanie Johnson gave the board the February planning update, saying the department still has four conditional-use permits and one rezoning pending and that one CUP for Osborne Carter will proceed to the planning commission next week. She gave permit counts for the month and said three subdivisions were approved with 50 currently pending.
Johnson described two solar facilities on Cumberland Road South, a poultry facility and the Antill Wetland Mitigation project, “which is on Antill Road…a wetland restoration project of about 64 acres right along the James River, on property owned by mister Johnny Osmo.” She also explained that the Davenport Road major subdivision will require private-road installation, a road bond and preliminary planning-commission approval before final plat approval.
