We also provide emergency medical care, rescue people during emergencies, respond to car accidents, help during natural disasters, and teach families how to stay safe before an emergency happens," said Andrea, representing the LA County Fire Department. The Sheriff's representative described community policing efforts, school visits and neighborhood engagement designed to build positive relationships.
Officials encouraged students to call 911 in an emergency and highlighted public-safety career paths and community programs that bring first responders into schools and outreach events. The presentations were framed as part of civic learning for the student participants rather than as operational briefings for the departments.
