Facilities Director Tim Sisk presented the library roof project, saying the scope includes removing an integrated gutter system that has caused ongoing problems, replacing the gutter system, new fascia and soffit and making necessary structural repairs. "Buried in that roof structure is an integrated gutter system that has obviously been a problem for years," Sisk said, explaining the work will remove 12โ14 inches of roof line to eliminate the failing component.
The board considered two bids and approved the RISE Construction bid for $158,596, authorizing the county manager to sign all related contract documents. A commissioner moved approval and the motion passed by voice vote; the chair noted the approval was unanimous.
