Alan Hinn, FEMA representative, said "as of about 2PM today, over 7,000 people had registered for assistance in the county," and listed the Disaster Recovery Center location and hours (112 Industrial Park Drive; 8 a.m.โ7 p.m. daily). He described the role of DSA door-to-door teams for residents with limited access and urged residents to bring identification, insurance documentation and banking information to the DRC to clarify benefits or appeal decisions.
Hinn also described transitional housing and voucher processes: residents who register may receive an automatic phone call with a link and local officials can provide available hotels. He and other officials recommended residents start a FEMA claim even if primary residence damage was limited, and noted SBA personnel are available at the DRC for small-business assistance.
