The Ross Town Council unanimously adopted Resolution No. 2628 approving the FY2026-27 budget and Resolution No. 2629 setting the Town's appropriations limit. Town Manager Christa Johnson described the budget, which includes a $1 million line for initial planning and environmental work to rehabilitate Ross Common and continues funding for the Civic Center Campus modernization reserve. Staff projected reserves of $13.7 million by fiscal year-end 2027.
Council discussed recent CalPERS valuation improvements and directed staff to coordinate with the Finance Subcommittee and actuarial consultants on assumptions and investment strategy. The budget-setting motion passed 5-0 and included a revision to the Town's salary schedule and a public-safety parcel-tax rate for the coming fiscal year.
