Mathies reported 362 traffic stops, 399 calls for service and 1,405 district and building checks for the reporting period; the department logged 74 reports and 57 citations overall. He highlighted Case 260075, a stolen‑vehicle report that led to an arrest and recovery of the vehicle about three hours after it was reported. Mathies also said Officer Higgins will graduate from the police academy on July 10 and has been spending time at the department to transition into active duty. Mathies noted that a general contractor working on removal of the Wagon Wheel building had removed the west side of the structure the previous day.
