Kim reported on several parks and events items: a ceiling fan at the amphitheater lost a blade and she suggested using TIF funds to buy the fan while labor would need to be covered. She said the farmers market had been 'a bust' due to rain and that the town is exploring alternatives. "We're still working on the street fair, September 12," Kim said.
Kim also said murals at the amphitheater are nearly complete and that two grant-funded awnings will be donated to the VRA while an Oculus device obtained through a grant will be given to the library's 'library of things' for public checkout. The board heard this as part of the parks report and did not take specific vote action on the items during the meeting.
