City Recorder Janet Ledbetter told the board there is an accounting issue with sewer tap fees: Muni-Link exports account data in a format that the LG accounting software does not compute correctly, producing a discrepancy in sewer budget revenues. MTAS is assisting staff with the problem. "Once this issue is fixed, then the sewer budget revenues can be completed," Ledbetter said; staff hope the correction will be made by the end of April and that a workshop can be scheduled before the May meeting.
Mayor Steven Cardwell and staff did not propose specific remedial accounting entries during the April 2 meeting; the board expects follow-up work with MTAS and a future budget workshop to resolve the revenue accounting and finalize budget figures.
