At the start of the April 2 meeting the Utility Board voted to approve minutes from its previous meeting. Vice Mayor Jonathan Newberry moved to approve the minutes; Commissioner Dale Wilkins seconded, and the record states the motion passed.
Later in the meeting Commissioner Margaret Maze moved to adjourn and Commissioner Dale Wilkins seconded; the motion passed and the meeting adjourned at 6:54 p.m. The minutes do not include roll-call vote tallies or indicate any dissent. Earlier in the meeting, Mayor Steven Cardwell and Vice Mayor Jonathan Newberry described the Tennessee Comptroller survey as "just a questionnaire" and said the utility was showing improvement, language the minutes record as reassurance to staff.
