At the April 2 meeting the Board of Commissioners approved Resolution No. 2026-02 authorizing submission of a 2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application for community infrastructure improvements. The resolution identifies Academy Drive and Beals Lane as candidate projects to receive grant-funded repairs and upgrades if the application is successful.
Vice Mayor Jonathan Newberry moved to approve the resolution and Commissioner Dale Wilkins seconded; the motion passed. The board also authorized LDA Engineering by separate resolution (2026-03) to provide services related to the CDBG application and potential implementation, subject to the usual grant-approval and contract conditions.
