County highlights grant-writing gains: $157,552 secured and role to support partners

Stacy, who works part time on grants, described the role as research and community building: she scans national grant databases, performs peer reviews for partner applications and writes letters of support. She said her work has helped a range of local partners — libraries, food pantries, CAP Services and other departments — win funding. The board discussed whether other departments should consider similar grant-writing capacity and noted that some funders require a minimum population size that limits eligibility for smaller counties.
