The Ross Town Council on June 11 formally introduced Matt Taia as the town's new building inspector. Roberta, a town planning staff member, summarized Taia's background in residential building inspection, energy audits and contracting and said he spent seven years as the sole building inspector for the city of Seaside before relocating to Marin County.
Taia told the council he had been in Ross about four weeks and said he is "looking forward to the opportunity here in Ross" and to working with the existing town team. Roberta recommended that the council welcome Taia and staff said they expect him to support the town's permitting and inspection workload.
