Interim Fire Chief Randy Kimbro presented the department’s 2025 activity numbers: "In 2025 Olmsted Falls fire had 1,356 EMS responses and 41 fire responses," he said, adding that an additional 195 'other' calls included smoke-detector activations and backyard bonfires. Kimbro noted much of the EMS workload occurs outside the city and described mutual-aid totals: 103 times received and 211 times provided.
Kimbro thanked the mayor and council for trusting him as interim fire chief and said he will serve in the role until the Civil Service Commission administers a test for a permanent appointment. The report was informational; council took no separate vote on operational changes.
