Olmsted Falls held its organizational meeting and oath of office ceremony on Jan. 2, 2026, at City Hall. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and multiple officials took the oath beginning at 8:00 p.m. Ashley Gluss, Esq., administered the oath to Mayor Chad Gluss.
Several officials administered swearing-in oaths for council members. Senator Tom Patton swore in Jennifer Jansen (Council-at-Large), Garry Thompson (Council-at-Large) and Anita Greller (Council Ward I); The Honorable Jennifer McTernan swore in Megan Coy (Council-at-Large) and Jacklyn Bartkowski (Council Ward II); Councilman Paul Marnecheck swore in Brett Iafigliola (Council Ward III); and Mayor Chad Gluss swore in Scott Saari (Council Ward IV). The meeting record shows an audience of 63 in attendance.
Senator Tom Patton congratulated the mayor and newly elected officials and praised first responders. As the minutes record his remarks: "Olmsted Falls is like a second home he loves this community and it is an honor to be present this evening." The ceremony formally installed the city’s elected officials and set the stage for the council to elect its internal leadership later in the same meeting.
