Finance Director Tom DiStasio said the town budgets conservatively for LoCIP and Town Aid Road during development and later supplements the budget when the formal awards are received. The LoCIP formal award for FY2025 was $171,275; the supplemental request of $57,932.18 increases the budgeted LoCIP amount to match the award. The Town Aid Road fund had an accumulated unappropriated balance of $102,993.04 that the board authorized to be appropriated to Town CIP road overlay accounts. Both measures were moved by Brian Loveless, seconded by Micah Rousey, and carried 7-0-0.
Board member Micah Rousey praised the conservative budgeting approach that underestimates during development so the board can appropriate actual awards later when confirmed.
