Jeff Kaiser told the committee the Citys 2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) annual allocation would be approximately $150,000 and that staff were identifying projects that meet low- and moderate-income benefit criteria. He said staff were considering a Bird Street infrastructure project as a likely candidate.
Kaiser also reported the Housing Improvement Program (CHIP) state contract had not yet returned from the County, so direct CHIP-funded housing assistance remains on hold until contract matters are resolved. He said the city would report any formal CDBG project recommendation to the appropriate committee or meeting when final selections were made.
