Commission approves claims, votes to issue insurance RFP with Gallagher after delayed rates

Faced with the timing pressure, Commissioner Dwight Nelson moved to go out for RFPs with Gallagher at a cost of $9,000, seconded by Mark Gail. The motion passed 3–2, with Commissioners Chad Metz and Kayla Schmidt opposed. The board earlier approved the listed vendor claims upon a motion by Nelson and a second from Schmidt.
The minutes show the county expects to return with rate information and move forward with procurement according to the updated schedule.
