Officials from Minnewaska Community Health and Traverse Care Center/Prairieview Place told the board that after placing nine beds on layaway (bringing the total to 15 on layaway), the facility is averaging about 90–97% occupancy and that becoming fully Medicare certified allows billing back to April 2024; staff said they will request an additional waiver to bill back further due to the certification delay.
The board reviewed two bids to replace five air-conditioning units: Ellingson Plumbing, Heating, A/C & Electrical submitted a bid listed in the record as $109,640.00 (including electrical work) and Mission Mechanical submitted a $100,640.00 bid that did not include electrical work (estimated electrical work about $13,000). The board unanimously approved Ellingson’s bid, 4-0.
