Emergency manager urges 'see something, say something' campaign and county evacuation planning

Sheridan County’s emergency manager briefed commissioners on state-led public-reporting guidance and coordinated evacuation planning ahead of larger events and the county’s wildfire season.
Jesse, the county emergency manager, said the state will push a broader “see something, say something” reporting campaign and the county will mirror that effort locally: “we'll be coordinating with them the kind of see something, say something campaign,” he said. Jesse described work with the sheriff’s office, the fire warden and local fire districts to develop pre-created evacuation zones so neighboring counties use consistent language and residents will know where to go in an emergency. Outreach and public-awareness campaigns are planned once the zones are finalized.
